HON DARE MONDAY (VENZA) REFUSES RUMOR OF WITHDRAWAL
It has come to my notice that some enemies of progress and development of Yagba East have started peddling the rumor that I Hon Dare Monday Venza has withdrawn from the race of chairmanship of Yagba East Local Government of Kogi State.
I want to use this medium to make it categorically clear that, that is a figment of the imagination of the peddlers of such rumor. My ambition mission of vision for the good people of Yagba East is paramount and not negotiable.
I am a servant who is determined to serve humanity with all my strength and available resources the Almighty God has endowed me with. The political field I believe is large enough for all aspirants to showcase their worth, hence my believe that all hands must be on deck to attract and bring development and dividend of democracy to our good people of Yagba East.
The rumor of my withdrawal cannot be unconnected to the fear some aspirants are having about my political worth. The only hope of survival they have is for them to be imposed on the good people of Yagba East L.G.A.I want to state here that all attempt to impose a candidate over others may lead to unpalatable consequences on the unity of purpose of our great party All Progressive Congress (A.P.C) and party fortunes in future elections.
I insist that all stakeholders must respect party constitution and the decision of the state party executive directives that candidates for the Local Government elections must emerge through transparent primaries.
The local government election primaries must be conducted in such a way that the most popular and acceptable candidate must emerge. There should be no room for a situation where by a particular candidate will be imposed on others.
Long live A.P.C. Long live Yagba East L.G.A. Long live Kogi State.
