OCHAJA COMMUNITY EXPRESS GRATITUDE TO GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO FOR PROVIDING THEM WITH FARMING TOOLS

The Onu Ochaja in Dekina Local government area chief Yahaya Ojomaje has un behalf of the community expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for ensuring the provision of farming implements to farmers in the area.
Chief Yahaya Ojomaje in a statement noted that the provision of Tractors and other farming implements through the Appeals project set up by president Muhammadu Buhari will no doubt boost food production and enhance the economic status of farmers in the area.
He explained that the appeal project would bring the needed development to Ochaja and it’s environs and commended the lady in charge of kogi appeals infrastructure Alhaja Salamatu for using her good offices to ensure the approval of the project for the community and other indirect beneficiaries.
He further appealed for the construction of Ochaja -Okura stream bridge which according to him links Ochaja to Egune, Ochewa- Okura and Alloma in Ofu local government area and other adjourning villages.
The Onu also appealed for the construction of the rural feeder roads to open up the farms for farmers to easily transport farm produce.
He called for the the provision of boreholes for the farmers as it will assist them in no small measure during the dry season.
The Traditional Ruler used the opportunity to further commend the Governor for being Development conscious which saw the wide acceptance of the Appeals project in the state.
According to him,the introduction of Appeals project by president Muhammadu Buhari was the best thing to happen to farmers in the country
Similarly,he appreciated the cashew appeals facilitator Mr Samuel Eneojo for recommending Ochaja community to benefit from the appeal project and appealed to the state coordinator of Appeal project and his team to be always conscious of the fact that Ochaja people are predominantly maize and cassava farmers.
