Water Transportation Will Soon Become Reality In Kogi State-Commissioner For Transport
The Kogi State Commissioner For Transport, Hon Baron Okwoli has said Water Transportation will soon become a reality in the State.
Hon Okwoli stated this in Lokoja when the Nigeria Volunteer Services conferred an award of Excellence on him.
The Commissioner said that the water transportation would reduce the cost of Transportation, traffic congestion as well as improve economic development of the state and the country in general.
While thanking the organization for the award, the Commissioner noted that it would spur him to do more.
He stressed that under Governor Yahaya Bello, no stone will be left unturned at developing all parts of the State.
Earlier, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Special Duties, Ibrahim Itodo commended the state government for successfully moving Small Motor-Parks to the MEGA TERMINAL to allow free flow of traffic congestion in Lokoja, the state capital.
Mr Itodo said the presentation of the award was burnout of conviction that the organization has been monitoring the activities and quality jobs of the Commissioner over the years.
The Senior Special Assistant explained that the Mega Terminal in no small measure created job opportunities for the Youths and revenue mobilization to the state.
He praised Governor Bello for the execution of numerous projects in the state, stressing that they have direct impact on the people.
